Recent college graduates (BA, BS) may apply for 1-2 year research technicians positions, during which they will also be trained and prepared for careers in the life sciences. This is ideal for young people who are interested in attending graduate or medical school in the future. Trainees are assigned a faculty mentor and a research project in topics such as molecular virology, biology, proteomics, therapeutic drug discovery and how to commercialize discoveries. Mentors may be from the Blumberg Institute, the Hepatitis B Foundation, or even small start up companies at our Center.
